Lucky Silver Sixpence Wedding Favour

The sixpence was a silver coin minted in England from the 1500s until the 1960s, and was worth six pennies. By the end of the 17th Century it became customary for a bride's parents to present a sixpence as a dowry gift to her groom. "I ordered the Lucky Sixpence for myself because I am having a Victorian-themed wedding and thought it would be fun to follow all of the Victorian traditions. When the item arrived, I found it to be exactly as pictured in the photo (which is what drew me to this sixpence as opposed to others I've seen on other sites). It will make a wonderful keepsake for my family to be passed on in the future. It even includes some space to list who used the sixpence and when, to assist in making it a family heirloom. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and you will be, too!"
